Chilling in london

Hola London!

London is one of my dream destinations to visit and alhamdulillah Allah has made my dream comes true.

We have made a prompt decision to visit london on weekend due to time constraint. Apart from that, weekend is the best way for a short gateway as it wont disturb my crazy experimental works and my husband's part time job. My husband also can keep his annual leave for our holiday in malaysia by end of this year, InshaAllah..hehe ( This is my outdated post)

Prior departing to london, we did some homework about places of interest in london so it would be easier for us to visit tourist attraction places in a short period of time. As this was our first time travelling to london, we decided to board by train which cost us about 75 pound for the return tickets. It's way cheaper than hire a car as we could save time, fuels, insurance and MONEY. Most importantly, we could reach London just in 2.5 hours by train! Travelling with a toddler is very challenging especially when he started to move around, screaming, yelling...haha. We get off at London Euston station (final station) and bought our oyster card at the underground station. It's located at the ground floor in the station. The price for the oyster card is 5 pound and you can reload the card at the self-service machine which is so convenient. If  you're confused and have problem, many ground staffs around are available and they are more than happy to help you.

I did some homework before leaving to London. To tackle all part of London in a very short time (2 days), hopping bus is definitely the best option. Cheaper bus ticket can be purchased on-line. Interestingly, the ticket validity is for two days! Thus, you don't have to worry if you aren't able to tackle all part of London city within a day. You can happily resume your journey on the next day. We purchased the ticket from the website and interestingly the tickets came with free ride of  awesome city cruise across Thames rives. I personally think the price is affordable because the bus has three main routes;

1) Original tour
2) Sightseeing in the city
3) Museum tour.

Offering 80 bus-stops at different point of interest, I bet it would be the most enjoyable trip in London,believe me! You can choose which routes you want to access and just press the button to get off from the bus at the designated bus stop. Within two days, we have covered most of tourist-attraction places such as Tralfagar Square, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, London Bridge,Harrods and London Eye (had queued for nearly two hours!). Just after an hour been in the row, I just came to realize that I lost London eye tickets! It is impossible to find your lost tickets in a such massive crowd :( Someone may took our tickets. The only thing I can do at that time was to keep on praying may Allah ease everything for us because I REALLY REALLY want to ride the capsule and wish to see those eye-catching view! You need to pass 3 stations before you're allowed to ride the capsule. Pheww...I was explaining to the staff that I lost my ticket while queuing for the ride and it was impossible for me to find the it. Wafiy was definitely our super saver, alhamdulillah.Without Wafiy`s presence, they might just ignore our explanation and may think we were cheating. Been on the capsule was one of the best feeling ever. It was so beautiful,lovely,breathtaking view from the top of the capsule. The capsule size is really huge as it could occupy 30 person in each capsule.

London, though you're such a hectic city, I never get enough of you :)
